Sport in the World: Wrestling or Running

The argument of this blog will
be determining who is the oldest sport between wrestling and running. Admitting,
running has a strong claim to the world as the first sport established. “The 5 Oldest
Sports in the World.” Indeed, running has always been a universal human
expression and will always be. “The 5 Oldest Sport in the World.” I’m aware
that running was mention back in 15,300 years ago. Although it was mention centuries,
but what historical background can you find on running. After researching a
little, I truly believe that wrestling is the oldest sport.
However, what many people are
not aware of is that wrestling is really the oldest sport. Unfortunately,
wrestling is way much different now than is was back in 15,300 years ago. Comparing
wrestling from centuries ago to what we call “wrestling” today has changed tremendously.
Wrestling establishment had to be somewhere around the 15th century.
“The 5 Oldest Sports in the World,” mention that “the famous cave
paintings in Lascaux, France, dating back to 15,300 years ago, depict wrestlers.”
In other word, this is proof that shows that wrestling has been sound for a long
time. In addition, “Wrestling
was also practiced by the ancient Egyptians as evidenced by the several
wrestling scenes found in tombs at Beni Hasan.”
When Olympics first kicked
off wrestling was on fire. Wrestling was the most popular event in the ancient
Greek Games, and lists of Olympic wrestling winners have been recorded since
